OCDA Government Relations Committee

The purpose of the Government Relations Committee (GRC) is to promote the legislative and regulatory priorities of OCDA, to advocate for the career development profession. The committee advises the Board on government relations priorities, monitors relevant policy developments, and engages with policymakers and stakeholders to advance the association’s goals. Committee members serve one-year terms, with the option for reappointment by the Chair.

Welcome to the Government Relations Committee page! Our work focuses on understanding and championing the voice of OCDA's constituency groupsThe primary functions of the committee include monitoring relevant legislation and policy developments, providing recommendations to the Board on government relations priorities, engaging with policymakers and stakeholders, and coordinating grassroots advocacy efforts. This committee collaborates with the National Career Development Association's Government Relations Committee to stay abreast on federal policy. We promote initiatives that demonstrate the importance of career development and the impact it has on Ohio's existing and future workforce. If you have questions, a concern to raise, or would like to get involved please reach out!
